4 Great Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for Gardening Moms

Mother’s Day is around the corner and I thought I would put together a small list of gift ideas for that special gardening mom in your life. This year, sadly, you can’t take mom out to a nice restaurant or spend hours at the mall shopping for the perfect gift but that doesn’t mean you can’t make this day special.

  1. Give Mom a Gardening Day! If your mom is anything like me, she’s can usually be found running around from place to place getting things done and she doesn’t have as much time as she would like to work in her garden. Well, give her a whole day (or at least a good part of the day) for her to do whatever she wants. I bet she will be in the garden before anyone can say “Happy M-“.
  1. Give Mom a Gardening Book! There are so many beautiful books about gardening available online. These are some of my favorites. The first book is a great resource for growing vegetables and the other two books focus on gardening for nature and feature stunning images of wildlife in the garden. ‘Nature’s Best Hope’ is also available on Audible along with a ton of other books if listening to books is more her thing.
  1. Give Mom the Gift of Knowledge! There are lots of “learn on-demand” websites where you can pay to take a course in a variety of topics. Udemy, Skillshare, and Masterclass offer some great gardening courses at affordable prices. Masterclass is more expensive than the others but the courses are taught by celebrities, so it’s definitely something to check out!
  1. Give Mom an indoor herb growing kit! I love these because they are so functional. The Garden Republic herb kit lets mom grow 4 types of soothing herbs for tea and the Planter’s Choice kit lets mom grow 9 different herbs for cooking.

I hope these gift ideas will inspire you to celebrate a mother in your life. Lets not let this unfortunate COVID19 situation ruin another holiday. All moms need a day of appreciation, especially garden moms!
